Unaffordable Dependent Employer Coverage, What are my Options?

I am covered at my job from blue cross blue shield. For me to add my child on my plan it is 600$ a month and I cannot afford that. I need to sign my child up but he was born in 2012 and that is not an option. So is there any way I can get him on? I can’t afford anything else.
