Voters Vote to Expand Medicaid in Utah, Nebraska, and Idaho


Voters in Utah, Nebraska, and Idaho have voted to expand Medicaid. This could result in as many as 200,000 Americans without coverage getting covered.

A report from the Urban Institute projects the following impact:

* – Idaho: 69,000 could gain coverage and the uninsured rate could fall to 9.9% from 14.6% .

* – Nebraska: 45,000 could gain coverage and the uninsured rate could fall to 9.6% from 12.4%  .

* – Utah: 76,000 could gain coverage and the uninsured rate could fall to 10.5% from 13.3%  .
