Small business with 3 owners (partners) LLC, and 2 employees. Both employees have insurance coverage through their spouses. We as owners do not have insurance coverage How or what can we do to obtain insurance.

Answer

Employees of a small business can be covered under a group health plan provided by the business if the business chooses to offer one, but small business owners need to get a private health plan and can't use the group health coverage provided by the business.

Options for small business owners include the Marketplace using cost assistance based on income, and shopping outside the health insurance Marketplace.

Its always based on household income of those who file together as a household. If you don’t file together then you should be able to get tax credits, but you’ll miss out on many other perks (so it might not be your best bet). Plus there are other considerations, I would get further expert tax advice in this sort of situation. However, you can start with just a call to HealthCare.gov.
