My employer is dropping coverage for our company but not until April to allow several pregnant employees to give birth. How will that work as far as the enrollment deadline being Feb. 15?

I’m currently not covered due to the fact I couldn’t afford it and want to go on the web site to buy insurance.

Will I be eligible for the credit since he will still be offering insurance for a couple more months? Also, co-workers who are currently enrolled are wondering where this leaves them and no one has any answers. Please, any info would help.

When your employer drops your plan it triggers a 120 day Special Enrollment window for Marketplace coverage and cost assistance. That Special Enrollment Period starts 60 days before you lose your plan.
