If I retire at age 63 and have no health ins until medicare @ age 65, do I have to sign up for Obamacare for 2 years?

Answer

Anyone under 65 who is the head of the household can get an ObamaCare policy that is eligible for cost assistance. If you aren't 65 yet you can get a Health Insurance Marketplace plan that will cover you until you are eligible for Medicare.

At age 65 do you loose your Obamacare insurance coverage?

ObamaCareFacts.com on

Not exactly, but when you become eligible for Medicare you can no longer maintain private coverage. So typically that happens at 65, but it is the insurance type and not the age that matters.
