We were just came in last Feb.5 from the Philippines. Our status was immigrant. Can we
still avail the Obama Care even we were late to enroll.I am a single parent and my daughter
is 20 year old.

Answer

US citizens, nationals, and lawfully present immigrants can get ObamaCare's Marketplace coverage, undocumented immigrants can't, and Medicaid has special rules. DACA have special rules as well. Due to the complexity of what immigration statuses apply to what we strongly suggest reading our page on immigration. If you have questions call HealthCare.Gov. There is 24/7 assistance in different languages. Get all the contact information here.

Call to start or finish an application, compare plans, enroll or ask a question.

1-800-318-2596 / TTY: 1-855-889-4325

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Closed Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.

The last thing to mention is that coverage is only offered during open enrollment. Outside of open enrollment you'll need to take advantage of special enrollment. That could mean in some instances that you have a 60 day window from the time you move to enroll for the year. If you claim taxes in the US you may meet the requirements to have coverage or owe a fee, so make sure to get health insurance requirements sorted out as early as possible.
