All plans that offer coverage to children must offer pediatric dental, but not adult. If your plan doesn’t offer dental you can get it as a standalone plan during open enrollment.
Pediatric vision and dental have to be offered, but parents can decline. The mandate is only for major medical health coverage.
Children are required to be offered dental, but adults aren’t. Medical coverage doesn’t always extend to dental, this leaves major dental surgery uncovered for many.
