Denied ObamaCare For Pre-existing Conditions

According to Obama you are not supposed to be denied coverage for existing conditions. However, I have tried to enroll 3 times in one day and 3 times the day before and each time my daughter is not on the acceptance form. My daughter is currently on medication for bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADD and depression.

This website, this idea, this president is not what it claims to be.

I just bought a medical insurance policy but did not see the entire policy until it was mailed to me. In the long version, it clearly excludes all pre-existing conditions that existed within 5 years of buying the policy. I don’t understand how they can get away with this. Can anything be done?

If you are ever denied major medical coverage for any reason related to health status, then something is wrong. ObamaCare makes it illegal for any insurer to deny you or charge you more based on health status. If you got a denial then you probably didn’t use HealthCare.Gov the official Health Insurance Marketplace or your state’s marketplace which can be found here: https://obamacarefacts.com/state-health-insurance-exchange/.

That being said. If you are denied for any health related reason: please get the information of the website you used to inquire about health insurance, the number you called, the name of the person you talked to, who they represented, and any other information you can gather.

You should report this officially to HealthCare.Gov and bbb.org. We would also appreciate if you emailed us the details and let us know so we can ensure this company is not advertising on our website.

Please keep in mind that there are some insurance types, like short term health coverage, that can still deny you coverage based on health. However, if you are shopping during open enrollment you really shouldn’t be offered a short term plan. Also keep in mind that 24/7 assistance is offered through heatlhcare.gov at this number so like our site says.

Call the 24/7 marketplace helpline 1-800-318-2596

Please note there are some types of health coverage, like short term health insurance, which you can still be denied for under the ACA.
