I don’t want dental coverage for my kids. I can see that it is an option on the Obama care facts page. But last year (2014) my ins said I do not have a choice. They did not let me remove it from my plan. So my questions are: can I remove the dental coverage for my kids? Was this possible in 2014?

Answer

If child dental is a standalone plan you simply stop paying to remove it. If it's part of the plan, then you need to switch to a plan that doesn't include child dental. Child dental has to be offered, but you don't have to take it.
