Democrats Lose Senate Vote to Push Back Trump Administration “Junk Insurance” Rule


Democrats have lost a vote in the Senate 43-52 that would have overturned a Trump administration rule that made it easier for states to opt out of some of the ACA’s health insurance requirements.

Basically, the Trump-era rule allows cheaper plans with less benefits that are sometimes deemed “junk insurance” by opponents.
