Help When I Needed it – Story

I urgently needed to move out of state near my daughter due to my health problems. I left my employer benefits behind with my job as moved. I qualified for social security and thank God the Affordable Care Act. Without the affordable care act I could not have gotten the treatments to fast track my healing process. At this point I am 75% better thanks to the excellent health care I received without bankrupting myself in the process.
No other developed country carries the shame of bankrupting their people with medical expenses. When seniors lose their homes and vanquish their retirement funds to pay medical bills all of our society suffers. They become recipients of welfare, food stamps, government housing vouchers ETC. When one of us loses, we all lose.
