ObamaCare Plans Don’t Have Good Cost Sharing in My State, What do I Do?
In Indiana everyone i talk to nurses, doctors, ect, say this health care doesn’t pay anything and copays are awful. I could retire now at 58 but don’t trust this health care due to all the people i’ve talked to,so what am i to do?
Answer
Less expensive insurance plans, including Marketplace plans, typically act as catastrophic coverage. That means high premiums and low cost sharing. That being said higher end Marketplace plans are just like any other plans with high premiums and great cost sharing. In some regions, sometimes the selection of Marketplace plans (and health plan options in general) can be limited. So what you should do I see what kind of assistance you qualify for, apply that to the range of plans that are offered, and simply choose the plan that will save you the most between premiums and out-of-pocket costs.
