ObamaCare Remains in Effect During Appeal
The Texas federal judge who struck down the entire Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) issued a stay on Sunday Dec 30 2018. That means ObamaCare will remain in effect while the ruling is appealed.
This is good news for anyone who is getting cost assistance, who has a preexisting condition, or who otherwise depends on the Affordable Care Act’s provisions.
It is also good news for the economy in the sense that about 1/6th of the US economy is tied up in healthcare and a drastic change like the ACA suddenly being declared invalid and everyone losing their healthcare could mean chaos.

TIP: Whichever side loses the cases is expected to appeal to the Supreme Court. So although the outcome of this is important, the likely outcome of a Supreme Court case on the issue will be the final word and the most important aspect of the outcome.

Nonsense! Declaring invalid what is, and always has been unconstitutional will not create chaos, instead it will end it; of course more than that needs to be done, such as ending Medicaid expansion ( stealing from Medicare to give Medicaid to those not qualified otherwise) put healthcare cost control in place, stop insurance company excessive cost, and high out of pocket cost; ( yeah like if insurance companies stated you had to pay $12,000 per person per year out of pocket before they pay anything for damages to your car you’d be screaming) insurance companies typically have $2500 + per person per year out of pocket before they pay a dime + premiums for health insurance, unless your employer pays part of your premiums to buy up a lower out of pocket policy.
If you are off the working class most working people will never accumulate the out of pocket in a year’s time, thus the insurance company never pays out a penny; quite a scheme if you ask me.
