The ACA From the Perspective of a Nurse

I am a registered nurse who works for a health insurance company and I grew up in a low-income home, so I see it from more than 1 angle. My mother who is 54yrs old and works part time would not have healthcare or be concerned with it if not for Obamacare. The only time she would concern herself is if she became reaaallly ill, and she, like many others would only be concerned with the cost. The other day, she and I had a 45min conversation about how much she liked her ACA plan. With a diagnosis of hypertension she can now see a Dr, take her meds on a regular basis in order to PREVENT a stroke, renal failure, etc. There may be a few growing pains but having more people insured and responsible for their own insurance will definitely benefit all Americans in the long run.
